ABTA at World Travel Market: Member Sessions Put EES and ETIAS on the Agenda
Each year, ABTA has a presence at World Travel Market (WTM) to keep in touch with both members and colleagues from across the travel industry worldwide. As the trade association prepares for this year's WTM, taking place at London's ExCeL on 4–6 November, its primary goal is to ensure that members who are able to attend can make the most of their time away from their business, meet the right people from across the ABTA team, and benefit from new and insightful information.

Member-only sessions in the ABTA Business Lounge
Across the three days, ABTA will run a series of member-only business sessions in its ABTA Business Lounge. Day one opens with Rachel Jordan, Director of Membership and Financial Protection, hosting a celebration of 75 years of ABTA. The session highlights the association's achievements over the decades, discusses the challenges facing the industry today, and looks ahead to how ABTA is positioned to keep representing its members in the years to come.
The association will also present its latest Holiday Habits research, the annual study that shows how people have been holidaying over the past 12 months and what their plans look like for the year ahead. For members, the figures offer a useful read on shifting consumer behaviour and booking confidence heading into the next season.
A dedicated EES and ETIAS briefing
Recognising that many in the trade are still unsure about the practical impact of the EU's incoming border systems, ABTA will run a business session dedicated to the Entry/Exit System (EES) and the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS). The session is designed to help members understand what the changes will mean for their operations and their customers, alongside a number of other opportunities to engage directly with the ABTA team throughout the event.
Members who want to find out more about the full programme, sign up for a business session, or see who from the ABTA team will be in the Business Lounge can do so via the association's WTM event page. If you would like to understand how the EES and ETIAS timeline fits together before briefing your own customers, the ETIAS and EES overview sets out the sequence in clear terms.
