What to Know When Someone Else Applies for Your ETIAS
Choosing the intermediary matters
The ETIAS process will involve sensitive personal information such as passport details, address and contact data. That makes it essential to choose someone trustworthy, especially as unofficial websites and opportunistic intermediaries may try to exploit travellers who are unfamiliar with the rules.
A formal declaration is part of the process
Both the traveller and the intermediary will need to sign a declaration of representation that confirms the application is being submitted on the traveller’s behalf. If several people are travelling together, each individual still needs a separate declaration rather than relying on one group authorisation.

Any intermediary must still use the official ETIAS website or app, and the official application fee remains part of the process. Commercial providers may charge an additional service fee, so travellers should check carefully what they are paying for and whether the extra cost is reasonable.
